Immersive Exhibition

Les Bassins des Lumières is hosting a new immersive exhibition dedicated to Henri Matisse, one of the boldest colorists in art history. Cutback is responsible for the production of the visuals and the staging, in close collaboration with Virginie Martin, the show’s author and artistic director. Over a 45-minute journey structured around chromatic stages, from Fauvism to the Blue Nudes, and on to the stained-glass windows of the Chapel of the Rosary, the visual sequences blend with the monumental architecture of the former submarine base: four basins measuring 110 meters long, 22 meters wide, and 12 meters high, whose water surfaces multiply each projection, adding a unique sensory depth to the experience.
