MATISSE

The Bassins des Lumières are hosting a new immersive exhibition dedicated to Henri Matisse, one of the boldest colorists in the history of art. Cutback is responsible for the image production and staging, in close collaboration with Virginie Martin, author and artistic director of the show.

Through a 45-minute journey structured in chromatic stages, from Fauvism to Blue Nudes, and to the stained glass windows of the Chapel of the Rosary, the visual sequences embrace the monumental architecture of the former submarine base: four basins 110 meters long, 22 meters wide and 12 meters high, whose water surfaces multiply each projection, adding a unique sensory depth to the experience.
